In the midst of lynch.’s hiatus, the band’s official website has been updated with a mysterious countdown timer leading to September 1, at 18:00 (JST). There’s also a date above it indicating November 23, 2022. The anticipation leaves lynch. fans both excited and apprehensive.
lynch. went on an abrupt temporary hiatus after their performance on December 31, 2021. The announcement was accompanied by an interview with the band where vocalist Hazuki stated that he struggled with songwriting, writing 80-90% of lynch.’s songs. Despite this, he was adamant to perform their postponed Nippon Budokan show by the end of 2022.
The members of lynch. have been embarking on their own projects in the meantime. Vocalist Hazuki formed a solo project and releases his first album EGØIST on August 31. Guitarist Yusuke with his unit Kenkou KENKO also released their first album Kennon #1 -Mirai- on April 6. Guitarist Reo joined his formerly disbanded band kein as they reformed earlier this year with live performances. Finally, bassist Akinori formed the three-piece band VIVACE and released the song Shunkou.
