MUCC has suddenly decided to suspend all activities for a short period of time, three months to be exact, starting at the beginning of 2018. But don’t you worry, they also posted a short message to the fans, clarifying they will be back soon.

For the first time in the history of MUCC, we will begin a hiatus, starting 2018.
We will definitely be back! In about three months…

Although, with this short message (which is all we got), the band never mention any circumstances to the sudden news.

The pause will most likely commence after the band completes their upcoming performance at Nippon Budokan, taking place at the end of the year, on December 27. There have been a bunch of other bands confirming their appearance at MUCC’s show as well, including SID, GRANRODEO, THE BACK HORN, and DEZERT. More acts will be revealed at a later date.

MUCC has been very busy this year celebrating their 20th anniversary together starting with the release of their 13th album Myakuhaku. They also released two compilation albums, a self-cover album, as well as re-recorded and remastered their first two albums, with a music video collection on the way too.
