SUI has announced that his solo project, “DAVID”, will go on indefinite hiatus after July 29, following the upcoming “8th Anniversary One-Man Live” at SHIBUYA PLEASURE PLEASURE.
The announcement was posted in both Japanese and English on SUI’s X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts on Friday June 6, at 23:00 JST. With this, the project is about to enter its third hiatus, after previous breaks in 2019 and 2022.
Read SUI’s English statement regarding the hiatus:
Thank you very much for your continued support.
DAVID will be going on an indefinite hiatus following our 8th Anniversary One-Man Live, which will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at SHIBUYA PLEASURE PLEASURE.
Although we have experienced two hiatuses in the past, we have carefully woven our path over the past eight years. We sincerely hope you will join us for this special performance and feel the journey we have taken.
For those who are unable to attend, we would be honored if you would listen to our heartfelt second full album, “Made in Gothic”, and experience the latest incarnation of DAVID.
With only a few performances remaining, we will give our all to express our world more passionately than ever.
We apologize for the sudden announcement and truly appreciate your continued support.
Sincerely,
DAVID
Earlier this year, DAVID released their second album, “Made in Gothic”. SUI also recently completed the “TRIAD TOUR” with Seth of Moi di Mois and Kouki of D-OUT, making stops in Chile, Brazil, and Mexico.
SUI initially began the project DAVID in 2017 while signed with Chateau Agency. Shortly afterward, the project was transferred to SUI’s own label, Resonance.
