2017 has just started and MUCC is well prepared for this exciting year due to its importance: their 20th anniversary! The band has revealed their plans to celebrate such an event, consisting of 20 movements.
The year will commence with the release of a new album titled Myakuhaku (脈拍) coming out on January 25. The album has been produced by guitarist Miya and Ken from L’arc-en-Ciel who also collaborated in the production of MUCC’s most recent single Classic.
The second stage will consist of a national tour starting at Tsutaya O-west in February and ending at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo in April. Some dates are sold out already!
Third and fourth movements are yet to be disclosed, however, information about the fifth movement confirms the release of a DVD featuring scenes from the band’s GO TO 20TH ANNIVERSARY “Fuka” tour celebrated in 2016. For the sixth movement, MUCC will hold an anniversary special live on May 4. Seventh and eight movements are also to be announced.
On June 9, the band will celebrate MUCC day. Later on the same month, for the tenth movement, they will hold a two days concert at the prestigious Nippon Budokan, on June 20-21. Tickets will go on sale on April 22.

We have no clue of what the 14th movement titled Koroshi no Shinabe (殺シノ調べ) is supposed to mean, although it is reminiscent of Buck-Tick’s compilation album of the same name. And finally, for the last movement revealed at the moment, the 18th, they will release a tribute album!
Any other details in regards to the remaining movements have yet to be revealed, but we will keep you updated as soon as more information comes to light!
