Shounenki to disband at the end of March

Shounenki (少年記) surprised us with the sudden announcement of their disbandment! It comes surprising as they just recently scheduled their first album TIMELESS to drop at the end of this month.

Each member left a personal message on their website but never stated any substantial reason to this decision, they did however ensure the fans that it was not due to the members not getting along, nor musical differences among the members. If this wasn’t depressing enough, bassist Rei commented that he will be retiring after Shounenki’s final live, which will take place at Takadanobaba AREA on March 28.

During the four and a half years Shounenki was active, they released two mini-albums and seven singles. Their upcoming album will contain most of the singles and an unreleased track Toki no Iro (時の色). TIMELESS will be released on February 24.
