Following the release of their debut single in November of last year, emerging visual kei band LONDBOY have released a new single, Iris, as well as a corresponding music video for the title track. The single is available in three versions, all of which contain the songs Iris and Sayonara Sekai. In addition, the A-type version of the single includes the music video of “Iris” on DVD while the B-type and C-type each consist of a unique third track. The single has been on sale since March 9, so you can already grab your copy!
Formed mainly of ex-members of the short-lived NOCTSCURE, LONDBOY’s music aims for a comparably lighter sound, while not abandoning any of the focus on instrumental proficiency. Their new track captures the essence of a cheerful and exhilarating atmosphere without depending too heavily on synth elements and complicated production occupying the foreground, like the tendencies of many of their contemporaries who aspire for a similar sound. Through quickly successive harmonic excursions, LONDBOY showcases that a fast-paced, “feel good” anthem can always also be an application for creative playing and delicate cooperation between vocal and guitar melodies.
