XaaXaa marks a decade of music with the release of their third greatest hits album, Chuudoku Shoujou San (ベストアルバム中毒症状〜三〜), on March 30, 2025. This two-disc collection features 23 tracks and continues the theme of their previous best-of releases. The album’s title translates to “symptoms of addiction”, a fitting reference to XaaXaa’s signature sound, which the band warns can be dangerously addictive.

This release follows Chuudoku Shoujou Ni (2019) and the original Chuudokushoujou (2016). The latter was a key milestone in XaaXaa’s history, coming just before a major lineup change—drummer Roji’s departure in 2017 and the arrival of his successor, An. Now, nearly a decade after their formation, Chuudoku Shoujou San captures the band’s journey, blending their older fan-favorite tracks with their more recent work.

Disc two highlights their latest releases, including Boku to OD (僕とOD), Nozokitai (のぞきたい), and Kasa ga nai (傘がない). Since Nozokitai was previously only available in Japan at live concerts, this album offers international fans a rare chance to own this song in a physical format. Meanwhile, the collection also revisits XaaXaa’s older material, from the morbid romanticism of Hishatai ha Shitai (被写体は死体) to the deeply relatable melancholia of Gogatsubyou (五月病).

To celebrate the album’s release, XaaXaa will hold an in-store event in Tokyo on March 30, with additional dates and details to be announced later.
