DIMLIM just held its livestreaming show PREMIUM SHOW -Let’s talk about the essence- on January 9 where they announced a new song will be released in spring 2021. They have also unveiled a brand new look drastically switching for a more casual, “no-makeup”-style, and sort of reaffirming its departure from the visual kei scene in both fashion and sound.
If you want to catch up with the members on their upcoming activities, be sure to check them out in their first Instagram live with all three members on January 16 at 19:00 (JST).

The transformation is not a sudden change but a progression. The now three-piece band has previously been changing its sound direction following the release of the critically acclaimed first album CHEDOARA, and later through several line-up changes.
They followed up with single Rijin that toned down the heavy sound and double down on it with the second album MISC., opting for more refined melodies that brought them closer to the math rock genre. Vocalist Sho also modified his vocal technique, making use of less harsh vocals and incorporating softer sounds, as well as putting more emotion into his performances, offering a more delicate sound to the ear.
The band itself established that its music continues to evolve through its subtle concert-show captions. For instance, in their postponed one-man show labeled “-We’ve changed. NOW IT’S YOUR TURN NEXT-“, the band asked their fans for their support and acceptance.
The aforementioned one-man show was scheduled to be held last year on May 9 but unfortunately was postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. They have now confirmed that the concert will instead take place at Shibuya WOMB on May 8, 2021. The show’s caption is even more effective now following the reveal of their new look. Don’t you think?
