With venues closed around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several artists are using livestreams to deliver performances for the fans. By jumping to online streaming services they can perform in place of canceled shows and even interact with audiences in real-time. Just to mention a few, YouTube has been the quickest go-to for musicians like BAND-MAID, MUCC, and nano.
Presently, several services are providing additional access for artists and fans to connect and be a part of a virtual concert. And while many of us wish to be at a venue with friends, the closures and reopenings evolve as world leaders manage the crisis. For now, this may be a necessary precaution to social distance and stay safe at home.
