sumika⁠—a four-man band from Kawasaki, Kanagawa⁠—is an indie rock band that started in 2013. Their new song, Higher Ground will be used for the animated film My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising that debuts in theatres across Japan on December 20 and will screen in America in early 2020.

If you like more gentle rock-pop vibes, sumika has similar uplifting vibes to [Alexandros], Kenshi Yonezu or RADWIMPS, all of which have been featured in an anime themes that usually commands of these types of sound. Take a listen at the music video and also the trailer for the new film below.
