MIYAVI adds a finishing touch to his newest album NO SLEEP TILL TOKYO by releasing a music video for Under The Same Sky, one of the highlights within his newest work. The music video is not only filled with MIYAVI’s heartwarming smile and live performance but also shows emotive images of his fans enjoying the live shows, and meeting their favorite artist. There is a chance to see yourself in the video if you attended MIYAVI’s DAY2 world tour in 2018:
The album definitely surprised both old fans and newcomers due to the mixture of its sound, as MIYAVI decided to embrace balance throughout the entire album. The instrumentation features MIYAVI’s earlier sound we all fell in love with, adorned with the futuristic sound experimented in previous albums The Others, and Fire Bird. As for the lyrics, MIYAVI chose to sing mostly in Japanese as he feels “that’s the best way we believe to express, and also explain what “MIYAVI” wants to say”, as he expressed in the video commentary to promote the album.
NO SLEEP TILL TOKYO hit the shelves on July 24 presenting a cover artwork designed by mangaka Sui Ishida, best known for his Toyko Ghoul series. The album comes with ten tracks including DAOKO collaboration Senkyaku Banrai, which accommodated for Mika Ninagawa’s film, Diner.
Be sure to catch the samurai guitarist in his tour “NO SLEEP TILL TOKYO Europe Tour 2019” that will take him across seven countries on 10 tour dates in 10 different cities. Tour organizer B7Klan have stated that ticket sales will begin June 28.
