Since the summer of 2017, veteran visual kei singer MORRIE from the bands “Dead End” and “Creature Creature” has played a string of live shows for his “Solitude” series of concerts in New York. And for the first time, he will be returning for his fifth show in the city, but with a guest. Another visual kei veteran, Kiyoharu from the bands “Kuroyume” and “Sads” will be joining MORRIE for a joint live show called: “MORRIE’s Solitude & KIYOHARU’s Elegy in New York” on August 16 at Joe’s Pub, in New York.
Aside from being in multiple bands, both MORRIE and Kiyoharu have extensive catalogs of solo work. MORRIE’s solo album Hikaru Kouya is the most recent and actually features Kiyoharu on the chorus of one of the songs on the album. Kiyoharu has performed with MORRIE in Japan before, but this is the first time the two rock legends will perform in an intimate, club-like setting, outside of Japan. This should surely be an interesting and unique show to see!
