After more than a year has passed since the release of their last full album LUCIFERO, THE GALLO (ギャロ) finally returns with a new CD; a single titled KERBEROS, scheduled to be released on March 14, 2018.
The band seems in no hurry to leave the theme of Hell that they have established a couple years ago starting with INCUBUS; this time they choose to name their single after the famous mythical three-headed dog that guards the gates to the Underworld according to Greek mythology.
KERBEROS will feature three songs and will cost you 1,500 yen. No audio or video teasers have been shared so far, but we will make sure to keep you updated on all emerging info. In the meantime, you can always revisit THE GALLO’s decadent Yamiuta music video from last year.
If you keep up with THE GALLO on social media, the costumes for KERBEROS might be nothing new to you – the band has been performing in them for a little while at the past few lives already. With pink make-up added, they present in a wonderfully grotesque look.
THE GALLO also state that they are planning to release more new music, in early summer and early autumn of 2018 respectively; whether these will be connecting to KERBEROS (much like the band’s other works that frequently link to each other) or stand on their own, we will yet have to see.
What standard will KERBEROS set for next year and what kind of path will THE GALLO walk in 2018? Are you as excited as we are to find out?
