Chanty’s new single, Kotoshi mo Haru ga Kibou to Iu Na no Usowotsuku, was released a few days ago on April 5, and now they’ve released more material in the form of a music video for the first track, Fukigen (不機嫌). It’s about time we see a new music video from them, as their last one, Yasashii Koe, was released back in November 2015!
Their new music video shows the band energetically playing the speedy tune in a warehouse, a recurrent place often used by other Japanese bands. The performance is so intense to the extent of Akuta throwing away his microphone stand, which rolls to Chitose’s position and the guitarist tries to dodge it while playing the last notes.
It’s no doubt that Chanty sounds as fresh today as the days they debuted, however, they are already four years old. And that’s something that needs to be celebrated! In order to do this, Chanty will have a one-man live at Tsutaya O-WEST on September 16. The event has been titled as their first full album Welcome to the Chanty world (Chantyの世界へようこそ).
