Mafumafu’s original album “Ashitairo World End” rediscovers his best works and delivers new songs

After two years of preparation, utaite (vocal cover artist) mafumafu screamed with joy when announcing the release of his upcoming original album called, Ashitairo World End, during his live TwitCast a few days back. The new album contains 16 tracks, with one of the new songs being Rinne tenshou, and will hit stores on October 18—or also known as mafumafu’s 26th birthday! It brings previously released songs once only found digitally on platforms such as niconico and YouTube, including fan-favorites such as Batsu game, Tachiiri kinshi, Super nuko ni naritai, and my personal favorite, Yume no mata yume!

It seems like mafumafu too find Yume no mata yume as one of his favorite songs out of these, because luckily, this is the first song from the album to actually get a “live action” music video starring mafumafu himself in the flesh, dancing around in traditional Japanese attire along with his support members. Each of the aforementioned songs currently does have their own separate music videos, although, in illustrative form, something very typical in the utaite community—since most utaite tends to hide their identity. If it wasn’t apparent enough, mafumafu still partially hide his face in the new Yume no mata yume music video, in a similar fashion to what he did in his duo project “After the rain”.

The musical arrangement in the new Yume no mata yume comes with slight differences. Most notably being the newly recorded drums which are replacing the (supposedly) programmed drums from the past version. You will also find a nice addition of a koto (Japanese harp) added into the middle of the song.

We still have some time until October 18, so as of this moment, this little piece of information is what has been provided so far. Artwork and tracklist will be revealed as we move closer to the release date.
