The latest force in female metal to shake the world, Zilqy, will prerelease their lead track “Carry On” on October 22, ahead of their debut EP “Vacant Throne”, scheduled for November 5. You can already pre-add both the song and the EP to your preferred streaming platforms, such as Apple Music and Spotify.

Despite us only having a teaser video of “Carry On”, the post-melodic nu-metal band Zilqy is already making waves with a solid lineup consisting of Anna on vocals, Toki (ex-Aldious) on guitar, Miho (ex-LOVEBITES) on bass, and Kano on drums.

“Carry On” marks the first piece written collaboratively by all members, representing both the starting point of their journey and a significant step toward their goal of creating a new metal sound that combines “global-standard sonic approach with distinctively Japanese melodies”.

Zilqy is signed to MAVERICK, the label home to L’Arc-en-Ciel, MUCC, and SID, among others. However, it has now been revealed that their music will also be distributed digitally through BLOOD BLAST, powered by Nuclear Blast, which is the world’s largest metal record label,

If you’re excited about all the new music coming from Zilqy, don’t forget that the band has scheduled their first live performance for December 10 at Daikanyama Space Odd in Tokyo, where you can experience their music firsthand! Their first in-store events will also take place not long after, at Tower Records Shinjuku on December 27, and Tower Records Shibuya on Decemeber 28.

Zilqy consists of four acclaimed musicians who excel in their own right. Bilingual vocalist Anna, shaped by her childhood experiences overseas, brings an experience to the band’s original soundscape. Similarly, drummer Kano’s musicality is vast and draws from not just metal, but Latin music, jazz, and pop.

Guitarist Toki previously rocked the world with Aldious, having played at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo. Bassist Miho, on the other hand, made her mark with LOVEBITES, performing at Wacken Open Air and the UK’s Download Festival.
