It’s crazy how time flies, because NANO has already been making music as a professional singer for 10 years, since 2012! To celebrate the amazing achievement, a new two-disc album NOIXE is set to release next year on February 8, packed with anime songs and more.
The title NOIXE (pronounced “noise”) in itself is very symbolic, in the sense that the “X” represents the 10th anniversary, while the word “noise”—which the title derives from—is the “sound that comes out of NANO”.
But as mentioned before, the album will be joined by anime songs, so what can we expect? Here’s what we know so far!
- Evolution
- The opening theme song for the fantasy anime “Shin Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei” (English: “The Fruit of Evolution 2: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It”), scheduled to air in January 2023.
- Composed and arranged by Yugo Saito. Lyrics by NANO.
- CATASTROPHE
- The opening theme song for the currently airing mystery anime “Human Bug Daigaku” (English: “The Human Crazy University”).
- Composed and arranged by Shin Manahiro. Lyrics by NANO.
- Happiness
- A collaboration song for the original supernatural anime, “Artiswitch“.
- Composed and arranged by Shin Manahiro. Lyrics by NANO.
- The anime also features other artists in the field of Harajuku fashion, art, and music.
- Various anime cover songs with NANO’s unique arrangement.
- Such as the fifth opening theme song TRUTH~A Great Detective of Love~ from “Detective Conan”, also known as “Case Closed”.
On top of the anime songs, expect to see collaboration songs as well. These songs play almost as a homage to the roots of NANO who initially started out in the self-published space, bringing it full circle.
If you want to learn more about NANO, don’t miss out on the interview we conducted awhile back. In it, we were able to unravel NANO’s mysterious past.
