Former NAZARE, gulu gulu, KAKUMAY, and Hueye members have formed the visual kei band BLAZE.

The lineup consists of former NAZARE vocalist Mio and bassist Uta, guitarist NERO, who was in KAKUMAY, guitarist Kururu, who was previously in Hueye, and finally drummer Hotaru-chan, who was in gulu-gulu beforehand.

The band has also debuted their violently shaky music video for the ferocious song MAYDAY, now available via digital distribution and streaming platforms. The music video’s sublime camerawork, studio setup, lighting, and visual effects amazingly match the song’s absolute aggression.

There are shining blue lights and a flashing white light, creating a moody and turbulent atmosphere. The shaky camerawork accentuates the visual effects. It’s dizzying, but with great effect.

BLAZE have also announced that they will hold their first oneman performance on August 11. They will also release a live-limited CD titled Shitsu Rakuen. The band is currently performing secretly, with the band turning up at Ikebukuro Blackhole on June 9 and will do so at an undisclosed venue next on July 30.

The band has also revealed an artist photo with the members in red with gold and black designs.
