sukekiyo’s latest music video Mosaic Shoujo (モザイク少女) premiered on October 7 at 20:00 (JST). The song comes from the audio-visual collection AMOR, due out later this month.
Mosaic Shoujo keeps the nostalgic Showa-era themes of its older sister, Candis but adds a sinister edge. Like a mosaic, different vignettes come together to form a strange vision. Its quirky, macabre style paints a satire of pop music.
Mosaic Shoujo has all a sukekiyo fan could ask for: vintage-sounding synth, an earworm of a chorus, and vocalist Kyo skipping in a bunny suit with a hammer. As his boy band victims sputter blood in each of their signature colors, the music video manages to make blood look cute.
On October 4 sukekiyo uploaded a preview of their upcoming audio-visual collection AMOR. On it, you can hear clips of both new tracks Scarlet and Mosaic Shoujo, as well as previously-released single Yumehedoro.
