SHAG’s full album THE PROTEST JAM dropped just a few days ago, and they’ve uploaded a new music video for the fifth track, titled Rebellmusik.
This piece is an improvisational battle royale, woven by six geniuses who excel beyond the boundaries of their instruments and music genre. Expect a feast of rock, jazz, free, funk, punk, new wave, avant-garde, noise, ambient, and dub in this track.

This MV is a protest work that symbolizes the spirituality of the album and is packed with the most important messages to throw. A collage of various materials, including local photographs and videos by journalist Rei Shiba. It is a video that contains resentment toward the international community where division and conflict are intensifying, and a prayer for permanent peace. I wish I could share this consciousness that should be most needed now with as many people as possible.
