MUCC is celebrating their 25th anniversary with a brand new studio album titled Shin Sekai which will see the light on June 9. In the meantime, the band drops a music video for the track Hoshi ni Negai wo.
The album Shin Sekai marks the first studio album without drummer SATOchi following his retirement as a professional drummer back in 2021. We’ve also seen guitarist Miya join supergroup Petit Brabancon, and vocalist Tatsuro debuting as a solo act dropping two albums on the same day.
Shin Sekai is comprised of 14 songs including the band’s previous single GONER/WORLD. The limited-edition comes with a blu-ray including a documentary of the process behind the recording of the album, and the music video for the song Ikitoshi.
MUCC also posted their somewhat simple new look which features the members posing in front of a grey background.
