BUCK-TICK takes fans on a musical journey with a new playfully titled single, Go-Go BT TRAIN, out on September 22. This train also gets the band back on board with a live tour schedule, planning a 20-stop national tour this fall.
Go-Go BT TRAIN, provides a tracklist of refreshments for the journey with four tracks including new and rearranged songs. New songs provide; Title track, Go-GO BT TRAIN, composed by guitarist Hisashi Imai and lyrics by vocalist Atsushi Sakurai; and B-side track, Koi, composed by guitarist Hidehiko Hoshino and lyrics also by Atsushi. The last two tracks on the list provide rearrangements of old songs with new recordings, Uta (Ver. 2021) and JUST ONE MORE KISS (Ver. 2021). The bonus refreshment—and arguably the tastiest—is the band’s new visuals for the release, with a parade of frills, glam, and highly styled hairdos.
Releasing the single just a day after their 34th anniversary and first audience-attending concert of the year with their fanclub-limited live show “Fish Tank Only 2021“, BUCK-TICK makes this single the defining moment in which they resume some of their regular touring activities in the pandemic recovering world. Titled after their new single, TOUR2021 Go-Go BT TRAIN alights on a nationwide tour of Japan with 20 dates in total—finally performing their ABRACADABRA album to the fans in person across the country!
After a year of live streamed shows with ABRACADABRA LIVE ON THE NET and Misemono-goya ga Kurete Kara -SHOW AFTER DARK-, and audiences limited to their end of year show ABRACADABRA THE DAY IN QUESTION 2020, the fans and BUCK-TICK can ultimately enjoy what they love best with live performances back on the schedule.
If you’re fortunate enough to have the chance to attend, go-go and get yourself there!
Update 2021-07-26: Reading for track “Ren” changed to “Koi”.
