SUPER BEAVER released their new double A-side single Toppako / Jiman ni Naritai (突破口 / 自慢になりたい) on October 21 and has uploaded two music videos for each of the tracks.

First up is Toppako, written for the opening theme song for the popular volleyball anime “Haikyu! To The Top”. Readers with the memory of an elephant will remember that SPYAIR’s ONE DAY was featured as the ending theme for this anime series. You can hear Toppako in action in this trailer at around the 0:25 second mark, or you can dive straight into the full music video.

After an edgy rock track full of sunshine and optimism in Toppako, we’re now going away from the city of concrete structures and neon-colored lights. Traveling to the rural green countryside in the back of a pickup truck, we’re switching down to a soft pop ballad, so put your legs up and feel the gentle breeze like vocals in Jiman ni Naritai.

This release seems to capture contrasting ways of life in one single, but we don’t have to be left guessing as SUPER BEAVER has left us all a comment about their new single. You’d think a well-established band would be quite serious, but drummer Fujiwara is adorable as heck so make sure to watch till the end.
