Visual metal band D are back on our radar with yet another charitable cause. Recently, the band announced the start of a new project with the Japan Committee for UNICEF titled Your 1 play protects children. Through this project, the band will donate 70% of digital sales revenue from their single Torikago Goten ~L’Oiseau bleu~ to the children’s fund. That goes for the B-side songs Hane wo Hitohira and Denshou Sareshi Sora no Monogatari too!

Torikago Goten ~L’Oiseau bleu~ was first released in 2011 in type A and B, for a limited time at their lives and webstore. Physical copies have sold out since then, but type B of the single is available on just about every digital platform you can think of.

UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund) operates in more than 190 countries and territories to protect children and foster their latent potential. You can help the organization just by downloading D’s enchanting single or by streaming the songs with a subscription. You can also help by sharing the hashtag #あなたの1再生が子どもたちを守る (Your 1 play helps protect children) and details with music lovers everywhere!

Vocalist ASAGI previously devised this method of donation to help wildlife affected by the Australian bushfires with the charity singles, ACACIA-Pray For Australia- and Hard Koala. They’ve been in digital stores since April 6. As for the physical copies, they were meant to land in stores on April 29 but have been postponed and will be released tomorrow on May 8.

Furthermore, songs from D’s discography can be downloaded or streamed to help aid live houses the band has played in over their 17-year career. More venues and songs have been revealed since our initial report. Head over to the band’s #LiveHouseNeverDie page to learn more.
