Moi-même-Moitié and Mana continue their overseas promotional activities at conventions in 2019. This time, Mana will travel to Hawaii to attend Kawaii Kon! Kawaii Kon will be held on April 5-7, 2019, at Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu.

Kawaii Kon is a three-day annual convention that celebrates Japanese anime, manga, and all facets of Japanese culture. They offer a variety of events and activities throughout the weekend, be it video games, tabletop games, costume contests, thousands of manga to read, a talent-filled Artist Alley, an expansive Dealer’s Room, a formal ball, and much more. To learn more, head over to Kawaii Kon’s website!

As Hawaii often gets portrayed as the stereotypical summer vacation destination, the image of Mana there, the dark and mysterious goth and visual kei icon, might seem a little bit bizarre… although Mana himself admits that he likes summer and the sea.

From his Twitter, Mana seems to be looking forward to his first time in a tropical place!

The last time Mana has represented Moi-même-Moitié in the United States was at Sakura-Con in Seattle in Spring 2018. Mana has also appeared at the Finnish Eternal Twilight convention in Helsinki in September of the same year.

Moi-même-Moitié is currently looking for models for their fashion show at Kawaii Kon—if you are interested in applying, check out Moi-même-Moitié Facebook post, or the application form directly, which you may find right here.

Are you excited about the news? Do you live in Hawaii or will you be traveling to Hawaii to meet Mana there? Let us know!
