European tour organizer B7KLAN will celebrate 20 years of activity next year with a major visual kei festival in Paris, France, taking place July 11–12. With a focus on visual kei, the festival “B7KLAN J-ROCK FEST” will feature 10 Japanese bands and two European acts, adding an extra layer of heat to the summer. This is incredibly exciting, as we haven’t seen a visual kei festival of this caliber in Europe before.

The festival lineup

The lineup has been announced on a daily frequency, and the bands announced so far are nothing but top-tier.

The 10th band

The 10th band will be chosen through a fan-driven contest and vote. According to the announcement, “All the information will come soon. By early January, everything will start”.

The process works as follows:

B7KLAN and the visual kei magazine HEVN will host a contest open to Japanese rock and visual kei bands.
Fans may nominate bands to enter the contest.
From the nominated bands, eight finalists will be selected:
- Fans vote to advance five bands.
- HEVN selects three additional bands.
The eight finalists perform at a “Grand Finale in Tokyo” with an in-person audience while also being livestreamed.
Fans vote during the finale to choose the winner.

The winning band becomes the 10th act at “B7KLAN J-ROCK FEST”.
