After closing out their spectacular 30th anniversary year with two massive dome shows, GLAY is kicking off their 31st year stronger than ever. Their latest single, “Dead Or Alive,” released on December 3, serves as the opening theme for the third season of the anime “Record of Ragnarok III”, which began streaming worldwide on Netflix on December 10.

“Dead Or Alive” marks the band’s 63rd single and debuted at No. 6 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart, allowing GLAY to achieve a historic milestone of 30 consecutive years of Top 10 singles, setting an unprecedented record in Oricon history.

Written by guitarist TAKURO and arranged by guitarist HISASHI, “Dead Or Alive” delivers a heavy groove and sharp, cutting riffs that perfectly capture the intensity of “Record of Ragnarok III”, where gods and humans battle for the fate of humanity. The song’s dark and dramatic sound is driven by JIRO’s bass and HISASHI’s edge-filled guitar work, while TERU’s strong yet flexible vocals bring emotional power to the mix. Together they create a track that stands as a definitive example of GLAY’s signature rock sound.

The music video for “Dead Or Alive” was filmed in New York City, showcasing the band performing against the backdrop of the city’s streets and skyline. The visual captures the song’s gritty energy and cinematic atmosphere, offering a striking complement to the anime’s world of conflict and determination.
