Aimer second TV commercial feature for this month started airing earlier today on Japanese television! The commercial is for Toyota Home (yes, the automotive company also builds stationary homes) which spotlights Aimer’s sweet vocals in a cover song called Ito. Earlier this month her upcoming song zero was also broadcasted through HAL‘s commercial, promoting the school by utilizing a highly sophisticated rendered CG animation.
In the midst of the upcoming best-of albums that are coming out next month, blanc and noir, Aimer has been working at full throttle! She has recently been to Iceland. While being there she shot a short one-take live (vertical) music video through the mobile messaging app LINE, as well as producing a handful of photographs during her photo session with Arata Katou.
You might also even seen her on stage with the band ONE OK ROCK through social media, where the band published a photo together with Aimer during the closing of the concert. And now, her second and latest TV commercial feature started airing earlier today, running on national television throughout Japan. It is Toyota Home who made the brilliant choice of featuring Aimer’s sweet and gentle voice, although, with a cover song called Ito that was originally sung by Miyuki Nakajima. The commercial tells a short story of a happy family during their morning routine, narrated by the mother in the commercial who expresses the durability of the house through tearjerking words.
Aimer’s first commercial for this month started airing April 7 and comes from the college HAL, featuring Aimer’s new song zero that is included in one of the upcoming best-of albums, noir. HAL is, in their own words, “[a school that provides] a cutting-edge learning environment with diverse cooperation with world-leading companies including Nintendo and Microsoft”. Their commercial presents a CG animation beginning with a bunch of dirt particles (polygons) flying off a giant monster who is applied with detailed texture. Later moving onto other angles to show off the fine lighting that was set into place to produce the video. HAL promote their school through TV commercials with the intention to attract potential students who are intrigued by what they see, and are able to emphasize with the message of the commercial.
HAL has previously promoted their school with music provided by MY FIRST STORY in the past, which you can read more about here.
