The all new visual kei band GUMMY debuted January 21 with the music video for Koori no Ketsumatsu (氷の結末).
GUMMY’s lineup consists of vocalist Gara from MERRY (メリー), guitarist “Mad Dangerous” known as “aie” from deadman, bassist KOHTA from PIERROT and drummer “Lotty” known as Lotto from FUKURO(梟).
A single red high heel on a chess board-like floor creates a mysterious atmosphere, before Gara, picking up the microphone, starts GUMMY’s journey. Koori no Ketsumatsu personifies the old school visual kei punk feel. Through flashing lights and chaotic camera movement, Koori no Ketsumatsu displays GUMMY’s dramatic performance prowess. Bold guitars and striking drums create the bedrock of the intense, high tempo anthem evocative of ’90s Japanese rock.
Featuring members of extensive careers in the music industry, GUMMY is reminiscent of the past while simultaneously feeling fresh.
