More bad and good news, guys. Lets’ get the ugly part over with first. The young and promising Deviloof delivered upsetting news today in an announcement about their guitarist Ryuya (竜弥), who’s decided to depart from the band following their live on October 22. He stated that musical differences is the reason behind his decision to quit the group.
It’s disappointing. Especially with all of the positive attention they been getting lately and the success of their mini-album, PURGE. And now the good part. Deviloof confirmed they will continue to write and play music after October 22, and they’re already searching for someone to fill in the position of the guitarist once he’s parted ways. You can read more about that here in a tweet from their official Twitter account. We wish them the best in their search for a new guitarist, and we hope Ryuya will be successful in whatever project he undertakes next!
Your last chance to see them live with the original lineup will be at their first free one-man live The Farthest, at Shinsaibashi CLUB DROP. If you’re staying in Japan then you can’t miss it! Check out the image below for more details.
