GUTS AND DEATH sadly announced the departure of drummer YD earlier this year, they officially said farewell to this fellow at the end of July last month. Even though it hasn’t been enough time for our sobbing to stop, the two remaining members already found a new member!
You probably didn’t guess it, but you’re probably very familiar with this guy. It’s no other than the YouTuber, and self-proclaimed “Japan’s representative of Pokémon GO”, Kabukin! Actually, it’s just YD in “kabuki” make up… The difference here being that he’s using a new persona and wears odd makeup, as well as sporting a new artist name “Kabukin”.
I don’t know if we should call this a happy surprise, or just grim, especially to the fans who sincerely felt sadness when hearing the departure news. Either way, we’re happy YD is back in action and more eccentric than ever!
We guess YD really wanted to continue spreading the quirkiness of this kabukin persona. Ever since he got into this character to make videos for GUTS AND DEATH’s YouTube channel, YD took a big interest in becoming a big youtuber. He later created his own personal space on YouTube and started making videos to promote randomness found in Japan, of course as Kabukin.
