Some sudden and concerning news from the visual kei band Arlequin (アルルカン) has reached us. Vocalist Aki (暁) will be absent in tonight’s broadcast on Nico Nico, and live activities for July, due to vocal cord inflammation.

The band kicked off their 47 prefecture tour, Kyoukaisen (境界線), on June 8, but unfortunately Aki won’t make any live appearances from July 2 to July 27, as the frontman will be taking that time to recover from his chronic vocal cord inflammation, which was induced by vocal abuse. He was also scheduled to appear on tonight’s Nico Visualizer Yamisen!!! Special, (ニコびじゅ (闇戦!!!) スペシャル) episode, but he’ll have to forgo that appearance as well. However, bassist Shohei (祥平) will stand in for him. It should also be noted that the tour will continue as scheduled.

An apology has been issued on Aki’s blog along with comments by the members. But we’re all wishing a perfect recovery for the talented and charismatic vocalist, and we send the the band our best wishes!
