Welcome to another edition of Discover Jrock Bands! In this edition we’d like introduce you to three bands that are very different from each other, IX -NINE-, DAMY and Tsudukimashite (ツヅキマシテ). Let’s begin!
Last month we had a special edition, covering The Peggies, Yuyum, and Chu’s Day, all-female bands! Go check it out in case you missed it. And do not hesitate to suggest us any band you find interesting. Leave us a comment and we will find them a spot in the next edition.
IX -NINE-
IX-NINE- started as a trio formed last year on February by the previous members of EATHERLY. After a month of their formation, they released their first mini-album Vydia. The band gained a lot of popularity ever since the debut of their first trilogy E.P Asterism, which was available to download for free at their SoundCloud, but it’s not anymore. By the end of the year 2015, they announced their first album NIRDVANDVA and later released it the year after, in January. Just a month after the announcement of the new album, the band revealed their new members Akatsuki (曉) and Shouki (小貴). Check the current line-up below:
Vocals: IX
Bass, Composer: $ali
Taisho-Koto, Sampler: Nøi
Guitar: Akatsuki (曉)
Drums: Shouki (小貴)
The sound of the band will be sure enjoyed by fans of sukekiyo. I also recommend to take a look at their YouTube channel, where you will find music videos, full songs and shot in one take sessions. Check out the music video for Tayumanu Tamashii no Souzoku (弛まぬ霊の相続) below, from their album NIRDVANDVA:

DAMY
Born in late 2013, DAMY is a band originally formed by the ex-vocalist of AlvinA and roadies of popular visual-kei bands, such as DEZERT or the now disbanded Crazy Shampoo. Their former guitarist, Hayato, was also a roadie of a popular band DIV. Their sound is clearly influenced by the formerly mentioned bands.
In their discography they have listed five singles, although three of them are live-limited releases. Take a look below at the preview for their third single Higaisha (被害者):

Tsudukimashite
Tsudukimashite (ツヅキマシテ) was originally formed in early 2015 under the name Panya-san (パン屋さん). A few months later they changed their name to the current name they’re using now.
During the first year of formation, the band released two live-limited singles and the single Waruguchi (わるぐち。), and on 2016 a three-month consecutive one-coin single campaign. Watch the full music video for Waruguchi below and let us know what do you think of this band in the comment section!
