Bands disbanding is almost a daily occurrence not only in the Japanese rock scene, but around the world. However, even if you aren’t a fan of a particular band, it’s always painful to see one that has been together for almost 15 years break up. Unfortunately, this is the case for Calmando Qual, a veteran band formed back in 2001. Vocalist Hibiki broke the news to the band’s fans through a message on Twitter, thanking everyone for their support over the past 15 years, and stating his desire to cherish the time left before the time comes to disband.
The band managed to play overseas quite a few times over the course of their career, although a live in the U.S. was stripped away from them back in 2013, when the festival in which they were going to play in was suddenly cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
The band is set to go different paths after June 9, when they play together for the last time at Takadanobaba AREA.
