MAZARI, an idol group built around a “curse” concept, will celebrate their first anniversary on October 11 with a concert. For the show they’ve gathered notable visual kei support musicians, namely, guitarist Ray (DEVILOOF), bassist Akinori (lynch.), and drummer Hibiki (Matenrou Opera).

If you’re new to the underground idol scene, it’s worth noting that most groups rely on backing tracks for live shows. With MAZARI bringing in top‑notch visual kei musicians for a full live band, to us, that is quite impressive and shows they’re giving their music first‑class treatment—not just using it as a vehicle for a performance.

MAZARI also frequently works with guitarist Leda (formerly of DELUHI), even down to their very first single. It seems like MAZARI has quite a good eye for choosing their associated musicians and we hope this trend will catch on!

The latest music video from MAZARI continues to feature Leda’s guitar alongside a heavy sound, pairing cinematic and story-driven camerawork with choreography by Risa that heightens the drama.
