EGOIST’s ending theme song Toujisha

Pop unit EGOIST, now mainly fronted by vocalist chelly, will be producing the ending theme song Toujisha, which has a CD release date of May 10, 2023.

chelly had this to say about the upcoming release:

I am happy that I have once again have the honor to work on something for the PSYCHO-PASS series.

Toujisha was created through a lot of trial and error when it comes down to the production, vocal work and sound included.

This time around, things like how I was breathing and other technical parts warranted a lot more precise direction than usual. I read carefully and thought deeply about the delicate words, which remind me a little of the current state of the world. So much so, I almost wondered if I was thinking too hard about it.

I think the conflict between my image of Inori Yuzuriha, the areas I refuse to budge in as a performer and this song’s character came together to help create a track with a beautiful, distorted tone in a kind of miraculous way.

I sang this song with the hope that anyone who listens to it would no longer be able to remain just a bystander.

I’d be very happy if you enjoy this song alongside the movie.

EGOIST previously provided the first TV anime’s ending themes Namae no Nai Kaibutsu and All Alone With You, as well as the second season’s ending theme Fallen.

Psycho-Pass: PROVIDENCE will be released in Japan on May 12 of this year. At this time, international release dates have yet to be announced.
