YouTube Music Weekend is about to hit off vol.5 in its series, and this time, a total of 65 artists and groups are to join the online streaming event! Over the course of three days, May 6-8, the streams will present newly recorded concert videos as well as past concert videos that were never uploaded to YouTube before.
For Japanese rock-oriented listeners, we would like to spotlight artists such as SiM, MIYAVI, WagakkiBand, MAN WITH A MISSION, and THE ORAL CIGARETTES. And somewhat related to rock, the BABYMETAL avenger member (backup dancer) Sayashi Riho will take part as a solo artist.
As for my personal favorites—which include the ones above too—I’d recommend Keina Suda, amazarashi, Tielle, and Kenshi Yonezu!
Don’t miss out on the VTuber section as well which has taken over the midnight slots, with artists like Kureiji Ollie, Fuji Aoi, Ayunda Risu, and returning ones such as Mori Calliope.
