It’s an exciting time to be a DIR EN GREY fan, as the juggernaut band pummels us with announcements this week.
Earlier this year DIR EN GREY announced the coming of their eleventh full-length album, “PHALARIS”. Now, we have a release date to mark our calendars with, and more details to look forward to!
The band announced that PHALARIS hits shelves on June 15, with pre-orders starting in late March. In addition, they revealed that the Limited Deluxe Version includes a bonus footage disc featuring live clips from the show “Sogai” (疎外), held at Tokyo Garden Theater on June 5, 2021.
Dovetailing the release, DIR EN GREY announced a nationwide tour “TOUR 22 PHALARIS -Vol.I.-” will kick off on June 2. The tour hits 12 stops around Japan, with general ticket sales opening on May 21.
Rounding out an exciting week of DIR EN news, DIR EN GREY unveiled the cover artwork for their upcoming music video clip collection, “AVERAGE PSYCHO 3“. The grotesque collage seems to be made of human faces as well as scenes from the included music videos.
The mosaic-like artwork gets more unsettling the longer you look at it.
