On January 27, five-member powerhouse DIR EN GREY announced its next highly anticipated album, PHALARIS. It is their first full studio album in three years, since 2018’s The Insulated World.

PHALARIS is due out in early summer 2022. DIR EN GREY also embarks on a Japan domestic tour in June.

Additionally, DIR EN GREY revealed the release date and contents for the music clip collection Average Psycho 3. Coming March 30, Average Psycho 3 contains music clips for all videos from Utafumi through Oboro. It also contains a brand new music clip for “T.D.F.F.”.

These exciting announcements came as the band wrapped up its two-day live “THE FINAL DAYS OF STUDIO COAST”. Since the venue USEN STUDIO COAST is closing at the end of January, DIR EN GREY is the final act to ever play the venue. Over the past 20 years, DIR EN GREY played at USEN STUDIO COAST 74 times.

With a new album this summer, a new music video collection this March, and a monumental goodbye to a venue, 2022 is shaping up to be a legendary year for DIR EN GREY fans.
