YOASOBI, the unit formed by Vocaloid producer Ayase and vocalist Ikura, just put out their debut English EP titled E-SIDE on November 12. The album consists of eight tracks from their discography but now with lyrics translated and sung in English. Thanks to music director Konnie Aoki’s work on the translation, YOASOBI’s hit songs sound just as catchy in English.
The EP comes with previously released English singles, the fan favorites Into the Night (Yoru ni Kakeru), RGB (Sangenshoku), Monster (Kaibutsu), and Blue (Gunjou). As for the remaining four songs, their music videos premiered on YouTube alongside the EP release, including Haven’t (Tabun), Comet (Yasashii Suisei), Encore, and Tracing a Dream (Ano Yume o Nazotte). All of the aforementioned songs are originally sung in Japanese.
The cover artwork designed by artist Mina Sakurai utilizes a pixel art style and places the duo’s motto “Novel into music” below the EP’s title. For those unfamiliar with YOASOBI, their music is mostly based on novels and short stories posted on Monogatary, a social network run by Sony Music Japan.
The EP is also being promoted outside Japan, so if you happen to catch a glimpse of a YOASOBI banner, be sure to share it with them via social media.

Previously, the duo had only presented themselves through livestream concerts on online platforms. We can also look forward to their upcoming EP titled THE BOOK 2 which is scheduled to be released on December 1 and includes previous singles and two new songs Tsubame, and Moshi mo Inochi ga Kaketara.
