The mobile rhythm game “Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku” has started its English public beta for iOS and Android devices. The beta period will run from October 4, 15:00 (PDT) to October 19, 15:00 (PDT).
Unfortunately, the available seats for the iOS beta have already been filled, however, more seats will be available during its next beta period. Android users can still download the game and play it as normal. Do note that any progress made during the beta period will not be carried over once the game launches.
“Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku” follows the traditional formula of tapping and sliding the falling notes while doing it to the beat of the song. Its music selection offers a wide variety of genres, and music by popular Vocaloid producers and utaite. The Japanese version reveals about 100 songs, and we can expect most—if not all—of them to be available on the English version too as more updates push out.
Initially launched in 2020, September 30, the game was only available in Japan but is now expanding to the English market (and Asia).
With the game being localized, the main difference between the Japanese version and the English version—so far—is of course the written language, but more prominently, the name of the game itself is actually different.
In Japan, the game is called “Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku”, while the English version is referred to as “Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!”. This might be worth noting considering most of the current players in the community use the shortened name “Proseka” when referring to the game.
