HYDE has paired his new song “ON MY OWN” with the vampire anime “MARS RED” as the ending theme. The show is set to air on April 6; it is based on the dramatic stage reading from the playwright and theatre director Fujisawa Bun’Ō.

As for the song ON MY OWN, it integrates itself to the vampiric setting through its dynamic arrangement that fluctuates between a disheartening and fierce sound.

MARS RED takes place in 1923, and vampires have existed for quite a while. But now, the number of vampires is increasing and a mysterious, artificial blood source called Ascra has appeared.

The Japanese government, in turn, creates “Code Zero”, a unit within the army tasked with taking down the vampiric forces. And what better way to track vampires than by using vampires? (Funimation)

Contrary, it was announced earlier in January that WagakkiBand would join in with its song “Aria of Life” as the opening theme.
