Karasu makes a double announcement with the revealing of their first single Nee Kimi ni and digital single Shishun Kizu, along with visual previews of both releases. The physical release of their first single will be available to purchase from February 21, with details of their digital single release date yet to be divulged.

Previous single releases by the band have been live and official webshop limited editions, making Nee Kimi ni their first official single release nationwide. So far, details deduce that the single will be available in a sole regular edition and composed of three new tracks—a tracklist that does not include the independent digital single Shishun Kizu.

Vocalist Ryo, who was the vocalist of the now-defunct band DAMY, continues to demonstrate his beautiful and, sometimes, haunting vocals with this new band and release. With Ryo’s distinct vocal style, their upcoming single Nee Kimi ni very much has a sound and rhythm reminiscent of DAMY. Have a listen to the preview of their first single Nee Kimi ni below:

Making this a double release announcement, a preview of a digital exclusive single Shishun Kizu has also been publicized. A song titled “adolescent wound” is bound to be a heavy subject matter for the song when in its full form, despite the light sounding rhythm and vocals in the preview.

Karasu has also released new artist photos for their look to coincide with the release. Take a look at the members’ looking chic in their all-black ensemble for their individual photos:

2021/02/04 edits made: Variation in band’s name corrected. Correction of live limited singles to include webshop availability.
