In conjunction with the album release of Hyper Angry Cat on December 16, singer 4s4ki (Asaki) dropped the music video for lead track Chronicle. The music video sees the singer playing together with a person in a bunny costume who happens to also carry a gun.
The unusual setting that is displayed in the music video portrays the struggles 4s4ki faced in the past during an extremely painful time. Conveying her belief in “self-love”, a chronicle to remind people to love themselves even during hardships.
Unlike her recent promotional works, Chronicle offers a more serious tone—despite the playful bunny—while also providing catchy rap and soft melodies.
4s4ki has been delivering new music videos on a regular basis leading up to the album. If you haven’t caught up with them yet, check out the vaporwave “35.5”, and the title track Hyper Angry Cat which features rap by Mega Shinnosuke and Nakamura Minami.
