BAND-MAID is to release the single Different on December 2, and it will join in as the opening theme for NHK E-TV anime Log Horizon: Entaku Houkai which starts broadcasting in January 2021. The title-track will be joined by the song “Don’t be long”, in addition to the TV-length rendition of Different.
Log Horizon is based on a light novel of the same name where players of an MMORPG find themselves trapped inside the game. After a six-year uphold since the second season, the anime series returns with the heroes facing a challenge to their unity and the emergence of a new threat in their world. Those curious about it can watch previous episodes on the popular anime streaming site Crunchyroll.

In addition to this, BAND-MAID also announced the release date for their fourth full album on January 20, 2021, mysteriously named Unseen World. Perhaps a title deserving of the fact that currently not much is known about the 13 tracks to be included. Moreover, it will be the maids’ first album since signing up with the music label Pony Canyon. What could we expect the metal maids to take their sound?
No doubt, more information will roll out in the next few months leading up to the big show at Nippon Budokan on February 11, 2021. Yet, with Japan under travel restrictions for tourism due to COVID-19, many international fans were desperately hoping to be there. In the meantime, they can look forward to the new music with worldwide pre-orders available now.
