DEXCORE released their hefty first album [METEMPSYCHOSIS.] on September 30 and they had one more thing to reveal two days before it dropped. That was the music video for the 15th track on Cibus featuring harsh vocals by vocalist Ryo of Crystal Lake. The song goes through various tempo changes which greatly affect its intensity from sludgy to punishingly fast.

However, that was just the tip of the iceberg as they blend symphonic, djent, and electronica elements all into one, showcasing their versatility. This song has it all and if that wasn’t enough, Ryo blesses the track with his growls before Kagami finishes off with his own snarls.

The music video takes a clean approach with the band performing in front of a dimly-lit white backdrop. They can also be seen taking a seat together at a table and passing around a plate with brownies spelling out the word “PRIDE” and eating each of the letters.

DEXCORE also revealed a preview of all the album tracks covering two discs and going from that alone, we can tell it’s going to be one hell of a brutal ride with many serene moments.

Alongside the heavy and harsh tracks, there are also serene moments coming in the form of clean and uplifting vocals. It’s hard to pick a favorite with so much on offer but I think that’s what makes this release interesting, especially after the band released the music video for BREATH.
