LUNA SEA pleasantly surprised fans on April 28 with a brand new song and music video titled Make a vow and is now available on all major digital platforms. The song was created with fans in mind, to cheer up those who might feel “worried and alone in this unescapable situation”.
This beautiful piece was teased via the band’s recently opened account on Instagram through short clips of the band members playing the song’s chorus. The entire music video was filmed by the members themselves using their smartphones at hand, showing them performing the song at their respective homes.
In the description of the video message guitarist SUGIZO left on his YouTube channel, it explains:
Even with the ongoing spread of COVID-19, the members decided that they wanted to be closer to all of the SLAVEs who might be feeling worried and alone in this unescapable situation and thus decided to make a new song.
From conception to completion was only two weeks. Instead of the members meeting in the studio, this song was made by each member overlapping their sounds remotely from their own personal environment to make this part my part to make the whole song that is, “Make a vow.”
In the video, SUGIZO personally spoke out to the fans in English about the dire times we currently live in:
