R-Shitei will go on indefinite hiatus once their on-going one-man tour CLIMAX47 ends on December 29, as announced on their Twitter. The members have not expressed the reason behind the sudden decision but confirmed they will explain everything personally to the fans attending to the tour final at Tokyo Ryougoku Kokugikanon.

To our surprise, the band announced the release of their last single Isho before entering hiatus, dropping on December 25, and its music video. Isho (遺書) can be translated as the last note left immediately before someone’s death, a testament. Watch the full music video for the beautiful ballad Isho below, in which we can see the members alone with their final thoughts.

Isho comes accompanied by the B-side Toumei, and is available in regular and limited editions. The latter contains a DVD with the music video for the title-track and its making-of.

R-Shitei, previously known as Catheline, R-15, and R-18, put out five full albums, three mini-albums, and 29 singles since they started activities in 2007. As no comeback date has been specified, we can only hope the five members take a good rest and return to the stage with renewed energy.

R-Shitei’s photo which came with the hiatus announcement reads: “R-Shitei hiatus”.
