Codomo Dragon previously announced the release of single Anonymous would drop on October 30, revealing artist photos that could only be described as dark and rustic but with a psychedelic twist. In the meantime, the band rolled out a trailer with a snippet of songs Ashu and Asphalt no Kike but now they’ve wrapped it up with a full-length music video for Anonymous!
The setting is a small industrial space kitted out with reddish-pink lights for individual performances and spotlights for when the band comes together. It also sees the members surrounded by arms and torsi of mannequins hanging from the ceiling, while those standing up are missing their heads and hands. Then there’s the glitching effect that is used creating a feeling of uncertainty and uneasiness throughout. This is combined with the forlorn piano notes creating a sorrowful chorus full of anguish, speedy and heavy verses, and an unnerving bridge and breakdown. It is definitely a despair-filled ride.
The trailer doesn’t let it stop there as it reveals that the next song Ashu is relentless and angry with its full-throttle shouts while Asphalt ni Kike is jumpy and creepy.
