LIPHLICH really seem to be going hard on promotions this year. Their new album CLUB FLEURET finally came out on October 11, and they do not relent in providing promotional content.
JACK THE LIPPER is LIPHLICH’s “dark alter-ego” of a band, in case you are unfamiliar with it. The name is a wordplay on Jack the Ripper, combined with LIPHLICH; that may be quite apparent. Founded a couple years ago, JACK THE LIPPER went from a Halloween project to something that LIPHLICH perform as quite frequently in one-time appearances scattered throughout the year. On top, the JACK THE LIPPER Halloween live has become one of the staples of LIPHLICH’s schedule each year.
Since the beginning of October, the JACK THE LIPPER twitter has been ominously dropping hints that there will be something to be expected on October 13. Finally, come the day, here it is! A brand new video.
With this video, the band covers two promotions at once. The first song is nothing new to LIPHLICH’s fans; JACK THE LIPPER as a song has been around since its release in October 2015. CLUB [F] is one of the songs on CLUB FLEURET, making this the second music video for the album.
The video itself just radiates the atmosphere of cold and dark autumn. It is also quite refreshing to actually see LIPHLICH outdoors in a video for once, we must admit, it is not a frequent sight. Doesn’t it just make you want to go wander in the woods in search of the handsome jet frightening Jack?
